The most important aspect about vintage mugs is that what was made (and still survives) is all there is. They weren't made to be collectors items, they aren't individualy numbered, and the aren't 'limited editions.

I like to think "if this mug/bowl could talk..."

Speaking of which, my favorite mug/bowl is my Kava Bowl that was made by the TEPCO owner John Pagliero for his wife Mary Jo. This bowl was the model that Trader Vic first saw and approved for production in the 40's.
