How big are the holes in the bottom of your tikis? (diameter)

Could you use dowels or PVC pipes? That's the method I used to anchor my outdoor tikis into the ground in the backyard when they kept blowing over when the wind was strong. You could drill a hole into the bar top, secure it from the bottom and slip the tiki onto the pole.
