Tom, did you find that pot of gold? Turkey Vultures are very common here, I see them almost daily. From the distribution map they are seen everywhere from the Canada-US border to the tip of South America. A large bird with about a 6 foot wing span. This one was sitting close enough to get a good picture and the horizontal morning sun helped highlight his bald red head. |
