ok here is the lowdown - as mentioned by the motive person in this thread - http://www.tikicentral.com/viewtopic.php?topic=9160&forum=1&vpost=654110 , the son of the newsworthy performers at the hawaiian room at the emerson hotel in baltimore, has created a facebook page for the hawaiian room and is posting scanned photos of its history, a few at a time.

in the meantime, here are more photos. seems like Ihilani, of The Voice of the South Pacific, was one of the early performers at the hawaiian room! LP images added to jog your memory.
