It's already spinning my head there are discos, but I bet their more like Tiki bars :)

The two discos on Rapa Nui are both basically the same: one big square concrete room. The one where the tourists go has some day-glo Moai painted on the walls and a black light bulb to illuminate them. The one where the locals go charges tourists double to get in and doesn't have the day-glo paint. I prefer the latter, even if being there means you'll be staed at by the otherwise friendly locals.

The atmosphere (at both) is basically: bar on the end opposite the door, tables along the other two walls, and dancing in the middle.

Other than these two 'nightclubs' there are about a dozen bars and restaurants in Hanga Roa. Read my Rapa Nui travelogue at http://www.tydirium.net for more.
