These are indeed rare, and not to diminish the find, but I personally cannot warm to these later versions of the Don mug. Call me racist, but the pudgy almond-eyed Asian face just seems so wrong, compared to the youthful beach boy look of the original:

To wit, neither one of them is any more "authentic" than the other as a depiction of the man, as they hail from the later, Getty Corp-owned phase of the chain.

That Dobbs Luau menu is great, note that the cocktails are all (x-ept the fog cutter) served in Trader Vic's-originated drinking vessels.
