Maybe part of it's huge popularity. I have never had as many people ask to buy a painting as they did on this one. i guess folks just want a painting of a happy, eager little tiki. ALOHA TIKI TRIBE! Well on to the next painting. This is a commission. "Two Tikis" The request is for 2 tikis, a cat , and a skull. Here's some sketches... Here's the skulls and the cat (s). I then went to thumb nail sketches to get a basic shape of the composition. Now I have an idea started.... one tiki is more modern, one is more ancient.
