Dale, the clear glaze really brings out the colors on the underglazes. You know I'll give you all the free advise (and woth the price) you want when you are ready to start firing up.
Robb, thanks so much. Always good to see you working on another masterpiece
Wendy & TikiAno, yes that is Duncan Courtyard Molasses. They had it in the half price bin last time I was there so I picked up a couple of pints. I like that glaze, I hope it's not being discontinued :(
Robert, thank you. Cutting them in half is not so scary when they are already hollow like these, I save the texturing until the are re-joined to help cover the seam. There is more of a "pucker factor" for me when I sculpt them solid then split and hollow them out.

Had a great and relaxing time at Mojave Oasis, got to catch up with some old friends and meet some new ones. I took some clay to play with and made Lil Loser #5, John Frum. He has some Cargo Cult influence including the M1 30-06 shell as a nose ornament and the dog tag hair tie. John Frum is a name associated with the Cargo Cult.

His dog tag chain is made from tiny clay balls that do not have a lot of surface area and a few are starting to pop off it it dries. That may prove to be problematic :)
