Some call for gin- others use cognac. I tried em both ways and the cognac version is a more flavoful drink . Don't let the champagne scare you manly dudes off- this drink packs a fair wallop. 1 1/2 oz. Cognac 1 oz lemon juice 1 oz simple syrup shake w/handful brkn ice, pour into flute, top with brut champagne, garnish with a lemon curl and enjoy. Google this drink, been around since 1915.
