Whenever he was commissioned, thought of all the mailboxes I'd seen other guys do, and the mailbox itself always looked like an afterthought....that, in a way, kinda killed the "flow" of the piece... I wanted to make the mailbox so subtle, that at first glance, one would not immediately say "oh, cool mailbox"...but instead,to look at it for a second and say "hey....that's a little mailbox in that tiki's mouth.".... I wanted it to be a tiki first, and a mailbox second, and not the other way around. I think I pulled it off.... :) Anyway, no time to BASK in the GLORY of the MAILBOX.... this damned headdress ain't gonna SWIRL ITSELF... lol...
