Hi all
The purpose of this thread is to identify shops & places selling new tiki mugs in the UK. Im thinking companies or people who regularly make or stock mugs :)
Here's what I have found:
Cheeky Tiki & Bespoke Barware, London - http://www.cheekytiki.com/mugs.htm & http://www.bespokebarware.com/shop/
Online only.
Good mugs, similar to Tiki Farm IMO. Some overlap between the 2 sites, some things are on one site but not the other (Ill let you work that what!). They makes more types of mugs than they sell (some for bars like Lola Lo (a chain of tiki bars in the UK)). The Cheeky Tiki website is not updated often (its still showing the message from last Xmas!). Active on Facebook with entertaining cocktail, tiki or South Sea Islander posts.
Fireworks Studio, Glasgow - http://fireworkspots.com/page6.htm
Online ~ they may have a physical shop (I dont know).
Slightly rougher mugs (from the pics ~ I dont have any). Website may not be up to date. Mugs are used in Glasgows 'Tiki Bar & Kitsch Inn'. More designs available on ebay (seller name: garnet5294), nice lady if you email her :)
Drink Stuff - http://www.drinkstuff.com/products/search.asp?SH=QT10aWtpfkI9dGlraX5EPTIwfkk9UHJpY2V_Sz00fkw9MX5NPTJ_&SI=b49bc4a5-402f-4175-8140-a81cb65b8af1&LAP=0&Grid=1&full=&Action=13&PageSize=100
Online only.
Selling Tiki Farm & others (no brands mentioned). Ive ordered from them before (not mugs) ~ they send, replace items or refund breakages quickly. They also list on Amazon.
FU Hawaii on Amazon - https://www.amazon.co.uk/
Online only.
FU Hawaii is an Amazon seller who seems to get quantities of 6 or so different tiki mugs & sells them til they run out, then they restock a month or so later. At this time there are none on Amazon, Ive not used them before (but obviously being an Amazon seller they have to meet standards).
Senor Tiki - http://senortiki.co.uk/mugs.html
Online only ~ they may have a physical shop (I dont know).
A bit of an unknown to me, Ive only seen the website. Seems to be selling Tiki Farm & Cheeky Tiki, quite expensive mugs IMO.
Hotrod Tiki - http://www.hotrodtiki.co.uk/tiki%20items.htm
Online ~ they may have a physical shop (I dont know).
Another unknown to me, Ive only seen the website. Seems to be selling Tiki Farm, quite expensive mugs IMO.
Rockers Manchester - http://www.rockersengland.co.uk/Guys/guys-Tikki.htm
A physical shop.
They sell rockabilly clothing, CDs etc (some bowling shirts with tiki figure buttons) - I have brought Tiki Farm mugs from there in the past. I dont think the website is updated often & they dont do mail order due to Royal Mail not insuring packages. Approx £13 a mug for the ones I got. Very friendly staff if you chat to them :)
Trader Vics, London - http://www.tradervicslondon.com/
A bar that sells mugs.
They sell Trader Vics mugs, quite expensive mugs IMO. The staff never seem to know what is available if you call & ask. They have a display cabinet with mugs & prices but these aren't necessarily the mugs on sale, grrrr!
Mahiki, London - http://www.mahiki.com/
A bar that sells mugs.
They sell Cheeky Tiki mugs (some of which aren't available from the Cheeky Tiki website) - mugs were £15 last time I went. I think its fair to say they are don't have a good reputation for customer service, dress smart & have a look at the reviews on this website if you plan on visiting, mine is on there somewhere:

Island Bar, Birmingham - http://www.bar-island.co.uk/
A bar that sells mugs.
I brought a Cheeky Tiki mug at Island Bar when I went there about 6 weeks ago. But I think it's a case of 'We've got the mugs you can buy one while you're here' or 'no, we need them at the moment'. I wouldn't be surprised if they had every mug under the sun or none next time I went back! :) I like Island Bar, it's most local to me & the staff are incredibly nice when they have time to chat to you (week nights) :)
That's all Ive got!
I try & pick up a mug when I go to one of the bars I've mentioned (by hook or by crook) :) I go by Rockers when Im in Manchester. Overall, the selection is dominated by Cheeky Tiki & Tiki Farm with the exception of Fireworks Studio & bits here & there.
My next order will probably be from Fireworks Studio or DrinkStuff - Im just getting round to it.
What other sources have people come across in the UK?
