I didn't have a chance to find any Tiki in Berlin I'm afraid in the short time i was there! The guy at Rum Trader can mix an amazing cocktail, but i would suggest you sit in the booth and not at the bar, because if he takes a dislike to you you'll want to be as far away from him as possible. We were warned by staff in a nearby bar (while waiting for it to open) that it was not for most people -only for 'specialists' and he was a 'character' -and were we sure we wanted to go in there?. A polite way of warning us that he was pretty unpleasant. I'm not sure if his hatred was directed at me specifically, or whether he had a particular dislike of the British. He didn't seem as incensed by the presence of my friend however, instead he kept on insisting she wasn't really British because she is not caucasian. He overcharged me for drinks -significantly more than the couple next to us who had bought the same exact things. Obviously he runs it for his own personal entertainment and does not feel a need to be cordial to his customers if he does not like you. I would never go back.

Although not remotely tiki or cocktail related, i would suggest checking out the lovely dance hall -'Clärchens Ballhaus' for its dance nights (including swing on Wednesdays).
