Jazz Keyboardist George Duke
January 12, 1946 - August 5, 2013

Known for his work in the genres of jazz fusion, R&B, funk, he backed well-known jazz musicians such as Sonny Rollins and Dexter Gordon. Throughout the 1970s, Duke served as a member of Frank Zappa's band, the Mothers of Invention. He lead his own group, The George Duke Quartet and released more than 30 solo albums.
