Very interesting stuff. Menus can certainly show how things have changed over the years...and not just prices. Something that's a bit more difficult to find these days (still around but ALL restaurants used to have them) are the Pineapple Boats...Half a hollowed out pineapple filled with fruits & usually either sherbert or cottage cheese. Local in-shore fish not common on menus now at all. |
