A lot of the shops are shuttered and empty. but there are still a lot of vendors there and the prices are really good. It really is a shame that it will be closing. The rest of Waikiki is pretty much just a giant shopping mall. Everything everywhere else is grossly expensive. I don't think I would really want to go back to Waikiki again. We had fun, but after three days of being stuck there without a car I was ready to leave. Now we're on Maui. Only been here a few hours, but I have a feeling I am not going to want to leave here.
