M mmoderntiki Member Joined: Apr 27, 2003 Posts: 134	M mmoderntiki Posted posted on Fri, Jan 16, 2004 2:37 PM Aloha, Shag, Miles Thompson, Gary Baseman, Paul Frank, Tim Biskup, Dave Burke, The Pizz, Von Franco, Mark Mothersbaugh, Marion Peck, Seonna Hong, Liz McGrath, Lisa Petrucci, Cherry Capri and others (50+ artists) will be submitting Original Paintings for our "Modern Love" show at M Modern Gallery in Palm Springs that opens on Valentines Day (reception is Sat. Feb. 14th at 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm). Shag, Gary Baseman, Tim Biskup, Paul Frank, Marion Peck and many others will be there in person for the opening. This show is also timed with the Palm Springs Modernism Show (which runs all weekend). There should be plenty to do out here in Palm Springs that weekend and we have worked out a deal with our buddy Casey at the Caliente Tropics to provide a special discount for rooms that weekend (this will be a very busy weekend so discounts don’t run as deep as usual). Those of you in the Los Angeles, San Diego and Phoenix areas could drive out that morning and return that evening if you like (it may be a long day trip but should be worth it). Also, SHAG will be signing a new serigraph (yet to be determined) at the Modernism Show Preview Gala on Friday, Feb. 13th at the Palm Springs Convention Center. This is a fund raiser for the Palm Springs Preservation Foundation (a great cause) and admission to the Modernism Show preview that evening where you can meet Shag is going to be either $50.00 each or $ 80.00 per couple. Hint: Palm Springs has a very large gay population so you can always say your buddy is your partner and save $10.00 each. Call or email the gallery to join the waiting lists for your favorite artists at the show. These paintings are going to be amazing. We will be updating our web site periodically with images for the show as they come in at http://www.mmoderngallery.com or call 760.416.3611.
