Okay.

We emailed Noelle, the guy who wrote about Rufus in 2000 as well as the local news links Skip posted.

My GF has VM messages out to Fez Moai as well as Jorge the guy who is said to be taking care of Rufus. At this point we're waiting for emails back and/or information such as a real deadline, etc. Just in speaking to people, there seem to be private parties who would be willing to take Rufus on. I for one would be willing to contribute to buying him from the new owner (I believe Fez said they want $1000) if that's what it took to get him into safe hands.

Interestingly this article (dating to when Bahooka was closing) says that the fish (and tanks) would stay...

I guess the questions I have now are what is the deadline? Are they really threatening to throw Rufus on the street? Who wants the $1000.00?

I'll post when/if we hear anything.
