Hi Fate, please come on more often! Let me boil it down:
-The new owner (lessee) of the Bahooka property wants to build a Chinese restaurant and Rufus had to go
-Tons of good folks here helped get the word out for a new home
-A fundraiser was set up via the Hidden LA Facebook page to save money to purchase, transport, and take care of Rufus.
-Damon's and Don the Beachcomber expressed interest, but there were many variables involved.
-After weeks of media exposure, new owner decided to keep Rufus.
-Many sad people. But ultimately, this is about what's best for Rufus.
-Next step?
