I only heard about it a couple of weeks ago myself from a friend. Here's the email he sent me. "Got turned on to the Fiji Blackout from the Okolemaluna Tiki Lounge. The recipe comes from the Okolemaluna Amateur Hawaiian Bartenders guide. One of my favorite drinks. 1oz maple syrup. 1 1\2oz fresh squeezed lime juice. 4oz of dark Jamaican rum such as Myers's (which the recipe called for) or Coruba Dark Jamaican rum which I use. Shake all ingredients and pour into a tall glass". I cut the recipe in half for the drink pictured and also used Coruba which is cheap and readily available here. It's a great drink which i'll definitely be making more often. Let me know what you think if you make one.
