I've heard so many people say "if only they apologized, I would never have had to sue." But lawyers tell them apologizing is an admission of guilt, so they do nothing. I'm reminded of Shakespeare: "First thing, let's kill all the lawyers." Keep us informed, and good luck with your deposition! The good news is that you're clearly in the right, so you can be confident in that. On another note, someone sent me a card for my birthday, and it had your art on it! The good news is, it was legitimate. :D
