This month's "Evening in ShangriLa" 3rd Saturday event 5/17 brings the return of The Butterfields to the Chef...

...in case you haven't checked the boys out before, here's a little bit of their bio...

The Butterfields are a trio of seasoned musicians from the Chicago area. Their love for surf, rockabilly and 60s era rock and roll radiates through their song selections and interpretations of them. Some of these tunes are classics and familiar to anyone's ear while others are more obscure. Any of these songs remind the listener of how great music was - back in its heydey. They refer to themselves as a Surfabilly Psychedelic rock band that produces hallucinations and apparent expansion of consciousness.

The drink special for Saturday 5/17 is any drink in a collector Hula Girl mug for $18.00 , plus the usual (huge) selection of tropical drinks and asian fusion cuisine to help everyone through the night. What better way to spend a spring evening than with the psychedelic sounds of The Butterfields and the tropical ambiance of Chef Shangri-La?

FYI: NEW START TIME FOR 2014 IS 9:00PM, BANDS WILL STILL PLAY 2 sets and the FREE raffle will still be held between sets at approximately 10:00pm/10:15pm. THEN BANDS WILL PLAY A SECOND SET FINISHING by 11:15pm/11:30pm! Patrons are welcome to move to the Tiki bar at that time, so we may get the dining room ready for Sunday.
