Great article! Picasso's most famed period was inspired by tribal or "primitive" art, and he had a vast collection of African and Oceanic art. One of the reasons I don't like the equation of "kitsch" and "tiki," which (to me) are anything but synonymous. But opinions on this vary. :) Pablo
