Good review. My home-made Falernum makes much more flavorful drinks than Taylor's. I haven't been convinced, from what I read and experienced in making Falernum, that Taylor's is very good. It's very high on sweetness and very low on flavor. This may be an element which impacted your tasting - weak Falernum doesn't contribute the same background spicy "zing" which our palates so enjoy. I always thought the QB Cooler is worth making just for the backstories around it. |
