Hi Dont know if anyone knows about this LP by the South African band The Shangaans, Most of the lp is standard bland covers(lion sleeps tonight, Swingin safari etc) but it does have 3 great tracks, the first being a killer version of Taboo(almost a hint of spy theme to it) then a decent stab at yellow bird and then a great version of the Ray Barretto latin classic El Watusi,Its available fairly cheap over here on ebay as it got a UK release on the Studio 2 label. Worth checking out! |
