In a way it kind of reminds me of the Rano Raraku crater. On Easter Island you can go to the Rano Raraku quarry site where all of the Moai were carved and many Moai are embedded in the hillsides. But you can also go inside the Rano Raraku volcano crater where there is a lake and more Moai embedded along the banks of the crater. I have pictures of it. I'll try to find and post them this weekend. |
