What's more important safety or authenticity? - General Tiki

This experience left me wondering whether I was better off with a more authentic design, or one that isn't likely to stab you if you screw around with it. Just curious what you folks think.... I know the simple answer is just not to screw around while handling a sharp object, but boredom sometimes prevails.
