Vintage Tiki Carvers:

Ben got on this list before Eli Hedley, was going to add Eli's name myself.
Now don't get me wrong Ben does great work.
And Eli Hedley was more than just a carver as I think he did whole build outs of
old time tiki joints.
A book on Eli Hedley would be a fun read, Heck or at least a thread here on TC.

The Ebb and Flow of this tiki thing is really odd these days.
Here today gone tomorrow I guess.
But most tiki folks here are all about the past for the most part?

Maybe Emperor Hirohito should be here if not for the war Us soldier's would not
have gone to the South Pacific and fell in love with our American idea of what we call
tiki.
I know it's a Stretch.

While we are Stretching you could also add the Musical / Movie South Pacific.

These two things reached MANY people.
Have met people who do not know of Trader Vic's but try to find people who
don't know of Musical / Movie South Pacific.
