If you are interested in serving some new Fall / Winter rum drinks over the holidays be sure to check out our Rum Mixology blog. I have listed the links below to previous recipe ideas from our archives, as well as our most recent recipe for the Harvest Sidecar. You can substitute Denizen with any other high ester funky Jamaican rum you happen to have in your bar if Denizen is not available in your area.

One of the key ingredients I always make sure to have in my fridge during the holidays is Fall Spiced Syrup. It can be used in so many cold weather rum cocktail recipes. Here is the simple recipe I prepare.

Fall Spiced Syrup
1 part water
1 part sugar
3 cinnamon sticks per cup of water
5 whole allspice berries per cup of water
5 whole cloves per cup of water

Bring the water and spices to a boil in a saucepan. Once the spices become aromatic, lower the heat to medium while stirring in the sugar. Once sugar is completely dissolved, remove from heat and cool on stove for 30-45 minutes to let the spices settle and infuse the syrup further. Once cooled, strain the syrup to remove the particles. Keep refrigerated until use.

I hope you all enjoy these recipes and have a Happy Thanksgiving.
