Ron McMullen, drummer for Long Beach 60's Surf Group The Pyramids succumbed to the damage done by a massive heart attack he suffered three weeks ago. The Pyramids (friends from LB's Poly High) had a national hit in early 1964 with "Penetration," As a promotional device, the Pyramids shaved their heads. They can be seen in the 1964 movie Bikini Beach. |
