Mahalo for all the kind words! Of course, all the inspiration comes from a certain establishment on Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdaele. Tonight, we entered a new era... Two 151 Swizzles, passing of the torch from Goslings 151 (right, standing in for the previous standard 151 Demerara rum, Lemon Hart) to the new contender, Hamilton Demerara Overproof 151 (left). My quick review: The Hamilton rum adds a richer, smokier flavor that was missing with Goslings. I can taste extra heat that even Lemon Hart didn't provide, along with those familiar Demerara flavor notes. Okole maluna!
