Here’s some mo Big K. 58th NCB was deactivated shortly after wwwII. MCB 58 was commissioned at Davisville RI. in 1966 and served in Viet Nam. Mcb 58 built us a mess-hall (real floors and a corrugated metal roof) in exchange for sending a tank to their camp each night. We all hoped we would be the lucky tank crew that got sent. Seabees worked hard at their occupation but they knew how to fight a war.The tank crews would come back with bellys full of ice cream and fresh popcorn. They also had a huge bar that looked very “tiki”. Lotsa bamboo and matting. My cover is off to them SeaBees.
Cheers
