Hey thank you so much for posting that last tutorial. Your lamps inspired me to build and since being away from tc for a minute I am back because of the lights. Any way, I made a drum style lamp a while back that I was very satisfied with and after seeing the pics in your tutorial I totally see how I could have been so much easier! Like ironing the braid for example. I am curious what tool is best for making precise cuts. I have a dremel that I use for making rings but it is bitch to cut through thick wood. Do you use a pivoting jig saw? Also is it necessary to pre drill holes for nailing down bamboo? Can't wait to finish this lamp that has been 2 years in the making. Cheers!!
