It's a sad, but true, fact that Baltimore, which is ironically considered the Kitsch capital of the US, is, in fact, devoid of any real Tiki bars, which is very sad for a Tiki enthusiast who craves some fellow Tiki friends to share an umbrella-laden libation with. Woody's Rum Bar is about as close as you're going to get. Now, if you want to travel a little bit away from the city (about 20 mins east) there's a place called Sunset Cove, in Bowleys Quarters, is a good attempt at a Tiki bar. With sand, bamboo, and tropical drinks. They even have live bands in the summer months. Worth a look-see if you're in the area. There's also Tiki Bar Solomons, in Solomons Island, MD (about an hour south of Bmore), that has the right Idea. Maybe one day I'll make my backyard Tiki bar public...lord knows we're starving for some good Tiki cocktails around here!
