The best part is that so many of my own opinions and doubts about some of these drinks were echoed here. I'm a novice so when I read REMIXED and see that the Bum prefers the Gold Cup to the Beachcomber's Gold I think the problem is with me when I make both and don't love the Gold Cup (the app version has a second teaspoon of Absinthe instead of 1 tsp by the way) and end up in love with the Beachcomber's Gold. You came to the same conclusion on this thread and about others that have been on my mind too. The Painkiller I liked but felt, for a classic, it was a bit underwhelming and I thought the Scorpion was a letdown (bigtime). You seem to have come to the same conclusions. Meanwhile I think nothing has topped the classic Mai Tai which I see I coincidentally happened to make with the same rums you did. All in all this thread is great and made me trust myself a bit more.
