This is a mug that requires a five piece mold. If you have a mug that only takes a two piece mold check out the ingenious way that elika-tiki made his mold without all the stuff I'm showing here.

We set up our space with a washable tarp. We put together the size box that this mug will require.

Dan made sure all the clamps were tight.

I filled the bottom with my plastic blocks.

I found one that would support the top.

One for the bottom wasn't quite wide enough so

I cut it to fit. I love these ToysRUs blocks, it was the best idea I ever came up with for making molds.

Now it fits and I put them

into the mold box.

Now back to the sculpt and fixing it.

The bottom with my name is covered and

Dan made all these snakes. I use them to secure this plastic jar to the bottom of the sculpt.

I covered it completely with clay.

All done.

I checked to see that I had a support for this new end.
