Pretty happy with my finds at a Goodwill yesterday. A subtle but cool aloha shirt. A two-faced mai tai glass marked Sheraton Princess Kaiulani on one side and Honolulu, Hawaii on the other. And a great book about the art of the Sepik River.

There's some information in the front of the book and a few colour photos but the majority of the photos are in B&W. Here's a few pages from it.


These next two were from another thriftstore. The first is a book about Hawaii. I pretty much bought it for the one picture shown in the photo. It was only $1.00.

And this was $3.00 with 75% off, so it only cost me 75c. Unfortunately there are only three pictures in it that are Polynesian related (including the cover photo which is from Easter Island), just about everything else is from various other countries, although the museum catalogue (that was surprisingly still with it, considering it is from 1957) does list a few pieces from Melanesia.
