They both suck as performers, and they (should) share the blame for this desperate grasp for attention. Justin Timberlake is one of the all time biggest poseurs that pop music has given us, and Janet Jackson is a sorry excuse for a Las Vegas dinner theater performer, as are Britney and Christina. Mitzy Gaynor was better at it. Leave the whipping out to Iggy Pop, Jim Morrison, etc. There's a time and a place for performers to take their stuff out, and it's not the Super Bowl. Debbie Harry, Joan Jett, Ronnie Spector, Stevie Nicks and Aretha Franklin never showed their tits (even though some may wanna see) because they don't have to. Are they 'sexually charged performers'? That's up to you. By the way, wouldn't it be nice to once again see a female performer actually perform music without all the soft porn? Alicia Keys, Michelle Branch, and that gang sort of fill that gap, but don't have the impact that say Aretha Franklin (did) does. When was the last time you can think of a female performer that has come along like Aretha, with that kind of passion based soley on their MUSICAL talent and performance? Even Janis Joplin.
