Tiki Central / Tiki Drinks and Food / El Dorado Rum - is the white a good Demerara?

I'm in Michigan, where we have a restricted list of liquors we can purchase. I'm aware I can order online, but at the moment I'm exploring what's available in store. El Dorado is no longer allowed to be imported into Michigan stores, but my local store has some of the white on the shelf (no age statement.) Would this be a good choice in a recipe calling for a Demerara? Or is it too light bodied to bring those flavors to the glass? |
