I organized something similar in Long Beach a few years ago with a small group where we went to 6 different bars, each specializing in a different type of drink. And then I gave some history on the place and/or particular drink that was highlighted. I called it an "Urban Drink Hike" just b/c I don't love the phrase "bar crawl" and it was sort of a parody on the whole suburban "let's get outside and do something healthy!" hipster trend. But I'd love to join up in the kind of walking bar tour in LA.
