Have not seen your Tapa, BUT Tapa is more like wood than paper.
So I have found that if you use Elmer's white glue you can slide and move it a bunch.
Would bet you could mount that on a board or wall (It's never coming off) and totally pinch that tear so you can't see it.

Put glue all over board, every inch.
Place Tapa, let dry.
Next place Elmer's white glue over the top or face of Tapa every inch.
Cover totally with glue. dries clear, let dry.
Now shellac with amber shellac.
It will be protected from wear and tear now as well, Plus look old.
