Ok, here is why I wont buy Ice at gas stations or etc. I directly know many people that worked for or owned Ice companies. You would be hard pressed to find someone that has worked in that industry that will use the ice made at those locations for food or drink. I'll save you the details but many of them are less then sanitary. The worst stories come from Home Ice which is big east of the Mississippi.

That's a good point. I've seen how gross and moldy those things can become on restaurant rehab shows but how can you be sure Sonic is regularly cleaning their machines? As I posted earlier in this thread, the closest Sonic to me that will even sell ice is over 30 minutes away so I've never tasted or tested it against what I'm normally using to determine if it's "cleaner."
