It's the first Scorpion I've ever really, really liked. Before now it had always been one of those drinks with a name that was better than the actual product. The use of aromatized wine really elevated the whole thing, and everyone at the table remarked on how much they liked it. When I jotted down the recipe I just wrote "blanc vermouth" instead of "white wine or lillet blanc", so I ended up using the Dolin Blanc I'd been using to make the Mojito Caballitos from POTC. It was more than equal to the task, but I'd really love to try it with some Cocchi Americano. I think the slight bitterness it has would give the drink greater tolerance for sweetness and let me give it extra heft by using a richer orgeat.
