We did the tasting again last Weekend and noticed (and they agreed) that their regular white rum has taken on a butterscotch flavor with age. Apparently that happened before they bottled this batch of spiced that we picked up, because that's what I taste now (their flavored varieties start from the standard white rum base.) Still decent, but I preferred it when it tasted like what I called lazy man's hot buttered rum. I used to taste all the different spices. Now I really taste butterscotch.
