I live in Seattle, and I rarely see mugs in shops. In my whole life, I have found: one mug from a Seattle Chinese restaurant, the Four Seas (gift from an antique dealer friend), two Mai Tai-type glasses with painted decoration from Beachbum Burt's in Redondo Beach (thrift store), one green critter mug from the "Jeckyll & Hyde Club" (stamped as such, thrift store), four Harvey's bucket mugs (thrift store), one generic brown tiki mug (some defunct modern bar in San Diego), and one Trader Vic's Fogcutter vase (bought from the former Las Vegas location). Not much.

Next Spring, I'll be doing a bartending event at a friend's yearly party, and I'd like to do a tiki format. Got some drink ideas already (classic stuff), but what I need are some nice, not-very-expensive assorted mugs to serve in (though not all the drinks I have planned will come in a mug). Since I know eBay usually prices high, what's my best bet for acquiring a group of mixed vintage, but very common and relatively inexpensive, mugs?

My list:

Jamaica Daiquiri (from TV's 70s reprint book) and Spanish Coffee will be in wine glasses. Royal Bermuda Yacht Club will use a cocktail glass. Mai Tai & Gun Club Punch, lowball glass. I have all those. Demerara Dry Float and Scorpion, I'm using vintage Avalos Hermanos glassware (conical compote and bowl compote, respectively). The 151 Swizzle (BG Reynolds/Hale Pele version), Bloody Mary (a staple at this party every year) and Yokohama Romance, I'm using vintage anodized aluminum cups, which will be covered with a napkin.

For the Zombie and War God, I'd like to have between six and eight relatively tall mugs. I'll use the Harvey's bucket mugs for the Spindrift and Test Pilot, but I'd like to have four or so more smaller mugs besides.
