And as such it's high time we had another Texas Tiki Round-up. Please save the date Saturday, Sept. 3rd for our 7th Round-up at the Enchanted Lagoon in Austin. I'm so excited to have Florida surf gods The Intoxicators! and The Disasteranuts back at the lagoon. We'll also enjoy the enchanting hapa haole Hawaiian band Combo Mahalo and DJ Atomic Mambo sounds of the islands. For those new to the party, the Round-up is our almost annual gathering of tikiphiles and like-minded Texans at our house in Austin, which we call the Enchanted Lagoon. It is one night only of music, cocktails, swimming, mini-golf, vintage alohawear, tiki and vintage vendors and relaxation in our tiki room, Second Floor-a Bora Bora. It usually starts around 7pm and goes very late. It is generally an adult party. Kids are not expressly forbidden, but we'll have a large crowd in a large yard that is fairly dark with lots of un-fenced water features. As in past years we will be asking for a small monetary donation to help cover costs of the food, bands, etc. and food offerings will be gratefully accepted as well.
