That Cornel one up top did say you need to get rid of the bees to get rid of the birds.
Read that one, it had some good stuff.

I would wrap that post in white metal flashing.
Those bees go to the same spot every year, when they get done they
totally mess that wood up.
NOW the birds want the bees and or larvae of the bees.

I had this problem and put metal flashing up and the bees STILL try like heck to
drill into that same spot where I put the flashing.

They will run you ragged.
