Found some more interesting tid-bits of information on the Omni Hut. In 1968 the Omni Hut corporation when into the franchise mode.
One of the first concepts to open was a fast-food take out version called the Omni Hut-et which was located in the Madison Square Shopping Center.
The grand plans never came to fruition as it was too late in the Tiki game by then. Here is a photo of Major Wallis at the restaurant.
