The Irri-tape seems to work. The pecker hasn't been back since hanging it. Not sure if thats the long term solution due to not looking very good, but its working for now. I tried my hand at doing a little rope wrapping on the front roof supports. Not sure if I did it right, but it dresses them up a little. I also added more netting under the roof overhang.
