Does anybody remember this Salem, Oregon place? - General Tiki

It was teensy - about 20ft wide, sandwiched in between 2 older buildings, and about 2 storefronts down from Mr. Mystik's Magic Shop. It always looked super mysterious (the bar, not the magic shop). I think it had thatching and big tiki guys out front. I seem to recall that it closed down in the early 90s after somebody got shot there. I went back a few months after to find a pile of rubble... Does anybody have any details that could ease my memory?
