We saw Chrystal Gayle as the opening act for the Everly Brothers in Las Vegas. We were up against the stage so we got to watch her hair brush the floor during the act. A professor once told me that an artist has to know when to say, "enough" otherwise you could spend a lifetime perfecting one work. But sometimes an artist thinks they are done but then a question by another person is so legitimate that the artist has to get back to work. Here is the KZAP Cat that I thought was finished and was allowed to dry. Down the road the problems with the cat were described to me. Luckily there was enough thickness in the clay to dry carve the mug into the shape it should have been all along. My label scraper is the best tool I've ever used. Dan gave me the first one from his first career at Safeway. I've used it with clay ever since. I used it to trim the dry clay. I made the back of the head shorter and thinner. I removed most of the tail and cut into the dry clay to carve a wider shorter tail. I added the strips. Now the cat is as it should have been from the beginning. Here's lookin at ya! Cheers, Wendy
